Over the years I have heard that question many, many times from prospective clients. My answer has always been the same; “A good one!”, and “An honest one!.”
It is my distinct honor and privilege to be a lawyer. I have practiced law for over Thirty Years, representing people in their most trying and troubling moments of life. I have done so with a spirit of excellence coupled with an intelligent mind, hard work ethic and the knowledge and experience to solve my clients problems. It is a point of personal pride that the vast majority of my clients come by way of first hand referrals from prior clients. Clients who tell their family, friends and associates that Charles Canty is “a good lawyer!”
Automobile Accidents, premises liability, personal injuries and medical practice are the primary focus of my Office. Estate matters (the winding down of a person’s life’s affairs and possessions), civil business licensing and related negotiations are also areas of services provided.

The Law Office of Charles Canty is based in Washington DC. We represent clients from all over The DMV (Washington DC and the greater metropolitan area). The firm has vast experience litigating in a variety of areas including medical malpractice, personal injury, and criminal defense including federal court. Two things are of extreme importance to me – helping clients achieve their aims, and building strong relationships that will last a lifetime. These goals are achieved through a combination of excellent legal knowledge, working hard, and forging personalized relationships with each client. Building relationships based on mutual trust, respect, and professionalism is achieved by keeping clients informed at every step of the way. Ensuring your rights are fully protected, and that your questions are answered in a timely manner are also key components of building a strong attorney-client relationship. I founded the Law Office of Charles Canty more than 20 years ago. Since then, the practice has gone from strength to strength.
